ABOUT HANNAH KRISTEN

Hannah Kristen is an Australian fantasy author who writes emotionally driven stories blending romance, myth and power. She began writing at sixteen, completing the first draft of what would later become the History of the Fallen series. Her books are inspired by a lifelong love of fantastical worlds and complex characters.

Years later, Hannah returned to the story with a renewed perspective informed by a bachelor degree in Social Science and Human Behaviour, postgraduate study in Art Psychotherapy and more than a decade of specialist practice in mental health. With this, she reshaped her story into a debut novel, Veils of the Fallen, the first in a trilogy.

Outside writing, Hannah is a qualified therapist who leads a national psychoeducational program supporting students’ mental health and wellbeing in schools. Her role includes developing and delivering large-scale educational initiatives, speaking at national forums and in media, and authoring widespread mental health resources for young people, adults and professionals. This background allows Hannah to use her fantasy worlds to explore themes of trauma, resilience and emotional fortitude with care and authenticity.

Inspired by her work with individuals navigating trauma and recovery, she writes to showcase how self-efficacy can be quiet, recovery is rarely linear and even in the aftermath of trauma, people can reclaim agency.
